Hi there! Time for another “What’s on the Mannequin”! This time we’re talking about Spring. 😀 As I mentioned in the previous Fall WOTM, I get my fashion inspiration mainly from the mannequins in store displays. It’s easier for me to imagine an outfit when seeing it on a mannequin than on a hanger. Plus, unlike runway shows, you can see what is trendy now and not next season. If you’re wondering why I didn’t do a Winter WOTM, well on a tropical island, there really isn’t much of a weather transition between Fall and Winter so it’s basically the same season and wardrobe for us.
This spring (as you’ll see in the photos) there’s a lot of bright colors, specifically pinks, corals and shades of blue. I also saw a lot of lace, in the form shorts, shirts and dresses. Floral prints are still around but not as much as we saw in Fall and the colors are brighter. My favorite of all displays had to be Zara’s mannequins. The mint color matched with white lace is just beautiful.
